Macalytics ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify app that connects merchant stores to Google Search Console to provide insights into organic search performance. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

By installing or using Macalytics, you agree to the terms of this policy.

1. Information We Collect

From Merchants:

• Store details (store URL, contact email)
• Google Search Console performance data (queries, impressions, clicks, positions)
• Page-level metadata (product, collection, and page URLs)

From Shopify:

We use Shopify’s APIs to retrieve store and store owner information necessary to provide the app’s core functionality.

We do not access or store customer data from your Shopify store.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide SEO insights based on Google Search Console data
• Display click, impression, and ranking metrics by page
• Identify SEO opportunities
• Improve and maintain the functionality of our app
• Communicate with you about updates or service issues

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

Use of Google user data

Macalytics SEO’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google’s Limited Use Requirements, including the requirements for handling data from Google Workspace APIs.

We do not use Google user data for advertising purposes, do not sell user data, and do not allow human access to the data unless explicitly authorised by the user or required for security purposes, as outlined in the policy linked above.

3. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active and the app remains installed. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@macaroni.works.

If you uninstall the app, we will automatically delete your data within 30 days.

4. Data Sharing

We may share your data with:

• Service providers who help us operate the app (e.g. hosting, security, analytics)
• Legal authorities, if required by law

We do not share your data with any third parties for marketing or advertising.

5. Security

We take data protection seriously. All data is transmitted over secure HTTPS connections. Access to your data is restricted to authorised personnel and stored securely.
