Data mapping
Using Macaroni, we combine Google Analytics, Search Console and site crawl data into a master list of URLs.
This means we don't miss important pages during the migration process.
We then extract all content and HTML into our data warehouse. For larger stores these files can be vast.
This also allows us to transfer the category/product structure from the existing platform, making the redirect process much, much easier.
We can also replicate the category/sub-category structure found on other stores using our faceted navigation solution.
For each page template, we map core components such as copy, navigation, and internal links. We then crawl the Shopify staging environment and compare the results.
Any missing elements are highlighted so they can be addressed promptly before the site goes live, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all pages.
