What is Macalytics?

Macalytics is Blink SEO’s Shopify analytics app that turns Google Search Console data into clear, actionable insights, tailored to the way Shopify stores are structured.

Where most analytics tools are built to work across any CMS, Macalytics is built specifically for Shopify. That means the data you see is shaped around your products, collections, and pages - making it far more useful when deciding where to focus SEO efforts.

It’s developed in-house by Blink’s engineering team, led by Dr Ian Read - a machine learning expert with over 30 years’ experience working with organisations including the UK government, McKinsey, and McLaren.

Data shaped for Shopify

Shopify has its own patterns - product and collection URLs, variant handling, and template structures - and these details matter when you’re working with search performance data.

Macalytics restructures Google Search Console data so it’s aligned with your Shopify architecture. You can see how each product, collection, or content page performs in organic search without having to piece it together manually.

What Macalytics tracks

Once installed, Macalytics connects to Google Search Console and presents the data in a Shopify-friendly interface. You can track:

• Clicks, impressions, and average ranking for each page

• Performance trends over time

• Which queries are driving traffic to specific products and collections

• How different parts of the catalogue perform in search

This makes it faster to spot underperforming products, find keyword opportunities, and decide where to focus optimisation.

Why it’s valuable for large catalogues

For stores with 250+ products - and especially those with 1,000 SKUs or more – keeping track of SEO performance at a granular level is essential.
